Howard B. Wigglebottom, Listens to His Heart: Review AND Giveaway! Open to the US and Canada (ends June 9)

Howard B. Wigglebottom, Listens to His Heart
by Howard Binkow

The We Do Listen Foundation has graciously allowed me to review another of the Howard B. Wigglebottom books on behalf of my favorite little bunny! This time around Howard appears in my absolute favorite book yet, Howard B. Wigglebottom Listens to His Heart.
Susan Corneilson fails to dissapoint once again with her beautiful and brighter than ever illustrations, while Howard Binkow leads us on another delightful lesson about how you should do what you love. An invaluable fable about on letting others influence the things that make you unique. A great book once again for the home, or in the classroom, for any child who could use a lesson in social courage, and what it means to be happy with the way they are. I think it also portrays the importance of how you shouldn't let others bring you down for the way you might do things, or look or act. It also shows how when someone or something is bothering you, talking to an adult you trust can help you figure things out. This lesson is insightful enough to flip-flop, and teach children how they shouldn't laugh at or taunt others because they look or do somehting that is different or unfamiliar.
This compelling edition says a lot with a little, and is in my personal opinion, a must have for any library of the young or old.
I also love the lesson questions at the end of the book that parents or teachers can, to help children explore and process what they learned from the story. All of these of course can be aided by corresponding lessons, posters and an animated audiobook that can be found on the We Do Listen Foundation's website.

Because We Do Listen Foundation Cares they offer an abundance of free materials that work together with the books.
