instructions say to use in the bath or shower, but I wanted to make sure it didn't just wash down the drain right away, I also never use sugar products in my private areas because sugar can cause bacterial infections.  I wet my skin with a washcloth and slathered on a liberal amount of my Tree Hut Shea Sugar Body Scrub. I'm always on the lookout for a good body scrub, in the past exfoliating body washes I tried have disappointed  me. They have those little beads that don't dissolve and are forever  clogging my shower drain and I don't feel clean and scrubbed like I think I should. I even tried making my own sugar based body scrub once, only to have the sugar instantly dissolve and cover me in a sticky, unsavory goo. I'm happy to say Tree Hut excelled far beyond my expectations, leaving my skin uber soft, I have rough skin on my upper arms and the sugar scrub really made a difference there. Teas' Tea, Just In Time For Springtime Thirst Quenching! Review and Giveaway!

My favorite one was the Unsweetened Rose Green Tea. The naturally sweet, perfumed rose petals used in this tea are absolutely decadent with none of the bitterness of the other two. It's soothing, silky flavor reminds me of chocolate. To be totally honest I added a tablespoon of honey to the bottles after initial tasting. I really didn't care for these teas in their unsweetened state. However after I added the honey, I liked them much better.  I would recommend trying any of the "Tea's Tea" flavors.

All Natural Ginger Tummy Drops Review and Giveaway!

Having an upset tummy is something we all experience though our lives. To me throwing up is the single most upsetting event I have ever had to endure. When I was pregnant, and then later after I was diagnosed and treated for leukemia, I threw up daily. Sometimes several times a day.   When I was diagnosed with Leukemia, my immune system was non-existent. Being out in public was actually hazardous to me. If I was exposed to the flu or a simple cold meant I could die.
I actually spent time in the hospital after my sister and her kids ( who had colds) came to see me.

When that happened, I realized how important it was to keep everything as clean as possible. So think of all  those wonderful public bathrooms, ill cleaned hotel rooms, even public seats on bus' or airplanes. I had to be very careful. Lysol became my best friend. I carry a small makeup bag and in it has a supply of toilet seat covers, toilet paper and Lysol. When I have to visit the ladies room no matter how clean it looks I use my supplies. "Healthing" is not being paranoid, it's being smart and careful. At home I spray the beds when I change sheets, counter tops, toilets and even my bathroom and kitchen floors after I mop. I also use my Lysol spray on the dogs beds and their favorite rugs. If I deep clean I even use it on my blinds, sofa and easy chairs. Brother's P-Touch, Helping Me Find My Together Side.

                                    
                                                                         

  Sometimes when I think of my life my mind goes to the certain song lyrics like "When I was young I was invincible"... I mean I could do it all, go to school, work, exercise, be a YFC counselor, a Girl Scout Leader, go to church and be a Sunday School Teacher. I baby sat, went on dates, did my housework, laundry, shopping and on top of all that I was organized. I can clearly remember going to my girlfriends house seeing her piles of unopened mail, baskets of unfolded laundry along with assorted other clutter and wondered why couldn't she keep up... I mean I did. THEN, I got married and had kids,

things got harder to keep up with. Working and taking care of my home and family got tough.  Slowly over the years my house became like my friend's. Last year I made a resolution to re-claim my life and home. My Brother P-Touch has been essential in my life, I can't believe how easy it is to use, and it's so durable. I can change the color of the tape and font, and I can even customize the font and it's size. All I did was turn it on, choose the font type to what I wanted on my label and hit print. I learned that when making several labels I could save tape by simply placing a space between the words and cutting them apart myself. I have even used these labels in my photo album. The tape is in

cartridge form so you can change colors at any time. I have to say that the refills were pretty pricey, so I won't let the kids take it and go nuts labeling all their stuff. I wish I had taken pictures of my messes before I started. On my desk I could never find anything, as a blogger I get lots of things to try out and sometimes I loose the essentials in the mix, so I did a quick and inexpensive fix. I found a 3 drawer box which fits perfectly under my desk shelf. I put labels on the drawers so now there is no confusion. I even stuck a "Keep Out!" warning on there... let's see if it works! My next project was my spices in my kitchen. I have been stressing out about how cluttered and messy they were. When I cook it's always a challenge to find what I'm looking for, and if I send my Mr. to look he often comes back empty handed. So when I found a like new Tupperware spice rack at a second hand store I knew this would be my answer. Together with my P-Touch we organized and cleaned up those bad boys and no one will ever know how disorganized I can be in the kitchen! The final project I want to tell you about today is my husbands work area... what a mess. I have't finished it yet but I got a great start...well I kind of fell into it (literally) I tripped and knocked over his nuts, bolts and nail drawers. What a mess.... I scooped them all up and had to re-sort them. Then, because my husband often sends one of us to go fetch a 3/4 inch wood screw( what's that right?), I had him sit down and tell me what these things were called so from now on we can pull the right drawer quickly and efficiently. The next step is going to be labeling his tool drawers.. more on that for my next post! Over all I am very pleased to have the P-Touch label maker by Brother. It's easy to use, and portable because it can run on batteries or you can purchase a cord to plug it into the wall (I was sort of disappointed it did not automatically come with one). I love that mine is a desk top model. It was the one I was hoping they would send me to review. It's stylish and I love that I can just type in what I want using both hands. The hand held one is also great though because everything  is right there and it is so compact that it can fit in your drawer, craft or tool box! With spring here and summer just around the corner it's time to de-clutter and get it together with a P-Touch by Brother. Tree Hut Sugar Body Scrub Review

Tree Hut was gracious enough to grant us another review for their utterly hedonistic Olive and Shea Sugar Body Scrub, this time in Lavender and Chamomile scent. Instead of the energizing, super-fruity Tropical Mango; this is an uplifting, mellow version of the same intensive exfoliant. This is a great one to use if you like to shower at the end of the day, on account of it's wonderfully relaxing aroma therapy. I plan on buying a manlier-smelling sample and convincing my husband to use it to, the lavender is mine! They also have a really decadent Almond and Honey series that I really hope to get for my upcoming anniversary. Hahaha!

Tree Hut is an American company with all products made in the United States, and they never conduct animal testing with any of their products! I love how I can read to ingredients list and NOT have to use Wikipedia to look up the chemicals to find out what they really are. Shea butter, olive oil, safflower oil, evening primrose oil, avocado, macadamia nut oil, orange oil, and of course lavender and chamomile oil; all meticulously balanced to nourish and pamper your skin with natural ingredients. All Tree Hut products are paraben free, which is excellent since paraben is just a fancy word for petruleum, and is used in many moisturizing products with sneaky words like "mineral oil". Parabens are manufactured with chemicals known to be carcinogens and are in general pretty icky for your skin. Tree Hut is also DMDM free (I had to look this one up), DMDM is a type of preservative used in skincare products and shampoos that releases formaldehyde over time.  Talk about a bad hair day. Like I said before, I've tried making my own sugar scrub , and it just turned into a nasty slurry on my skin. I don't know what magic Tree Hut has going on, but their products always leave me feeling wonderfully soft and it never clogs my drains. Tackling The Little And Big Stuff With My P-Touch By Brother

 

  Life gets in the way in so many ways. If you are like me it's hard to keep it all together when everything happens at once. Plus, if you have a family like mine that's always on the go, it seems things are always getting dropped and left where they fall to be picked up by you.I know I need all the help I can get, my P-Touch answered my S.O.S., finally I feel like I can get it all together again. That's why I am very happy to have my P-Touch by Brother. I used to have one of those old label makers that had the little dial and it was okay, but the labels were a little tacky and had the bad habit of falling off or snagging on things because they stuck out.  I love my P-Touch so much more, it's compact, I can leave it on my desk and it looks sleek and modern and I have it right there all the time. It can be portable and run on batteries or I can plug it in with the cord I purchased for it (it did not come with the adapter). I love how clean and neat the labels are and how easy and fun it is to use. I  found myself organizing everything! I started out organizing my desk area.

I used my P-Touch on my file folders and drawers. I then moved to the kitchen and cleaned up  my spices. I had the lets get it together bug, so I moved on to my husbands nuts, bolts and screws...well, that was sort of by an accident I caused. Still,  I liked how efficient that made his work area so I continued on to his tool box. I have to say he wasn't happy I touched his stuff, however he is loving the results. I was so inspired with my clean up efforts I moved on to my craft supplies and labeled all my drawers. Now I can instantly find all the things I need without the frustration and search efforts. I have a confession I am a grandmother want to be. I want to get my hands on a little child that I can pamper and send home badly. So bad that when my daughter married I started to collect baby things. Because of the wide variety of items I labeled all the boxes. This summer our big job is to get my back yard beautiful again. In doing so I am going to organize and build a work area in the garage for the old man... I am moving him out of my space into a man cave... As we build, my P-Touch is going to be by my side so when the Mr. doesn't put it away I will know right where it goes. There is nothing so beautiful to this woman's heart as a neat, clean and organized work space. The tasks you can complete are limitless. Like using it to title your recipe cards, label your kids boxes as they move to college, store things, label canisters and containers in your kitchen. Even list items in your cupboards. My P-Touch is so important to me and this is why I won't ever be with out it again.

Baby Magic No-Rinse Wash, The Convenience of A Bath When You're On The Go!

As parents, we have all had those holy moly moments in life, either with the kids or other messes, where we really could use a sink and wash cloth. You know those moments where that baby wipe is just not going to do the job properly? I'm 52 years old Wash. I like it for a lot of reasons. A big plus for me is that it's pH balanced and there is no alcohol in it, like some of the other on the go products, so it will not sting your child if they have a scratch or a sore somewhere.
