Women can sometimes experience flora imbalance, this is when the bad bacteria outweighs their good bacteria. It can happen for many reasons including medications or birth control measures they may use. When this happens women can see changes in their digestion and vaginal health that can be really uncomfortable. Probiotics is good bacteria and what it is supposed to do is keep the good and bad bacteria balanced in a woman's body. Provella is a probiotic designed to give women that good bacteria.

There are a blend of 6 beneficial dairy derived bacteria cultures in Provella. Lactobacilli are good bacteria that aid in the digesting system. However there are only trace amounts of milk from the fermentation, it is gluten free and is suitable for vegetarians. Provella is taken in pill form, one tablet daily. Provella lists the possibility of gas and bloating as side effects. If you have medical conditions, are pregnant or breast feeding you should not take this without talking to your doctor first.
                        
 My daughter tried the Provella she likes to take care of her body using homeopathic remedies if possible. The first thing she noticed as she started taking Provella was the gas, she had an embarrassing time of it at work. But they do say that this was possible so it was not a surprise. Three days into taking Provella, Rea developed a yeast infection. She continued taking the pills for another seven days before she came to me about her issues and concerns. We read a little more on Provella and saw in  the pamphlet a note referring women to their doctor in case of a yeast infection so we figured this is a possible side effect. After reading that Rea stopped taking the pills and the infection cleared up. She had not taken it long enough to see any positive outcome and wants to try it again later.

We did call the Provella hot line 1-855-899-9180 and spoke with one of their representatives, while Provella is not known to cause any side effects she told us to not take the pills again until my daughter had a chance to see her doctor as there may be an underlying health issue that caused her infection. My daughter said that even though this happened she wants to try again after she sees her doctor because of the benefits from using Provella.
