Litter Robot Review and Giveaway U.S. Only (RV $359.99)

Litter Robot Review and Giveaway!

I am very excited to tell you about Litter Robot. I have 4 cats at the moment (both my kids moved home with theirs and my 2). So there is a lot of litter box cleaning and no one likes doing it so you can imagine how excited I was to be accepted for this review. I received the Litter Robot ll with expanded dome!

Litter Robot cleans the cat box for you. All you have to do is empty the drawer. With 4 cats we have to check it throughout the day so the drawer doesn't get backed up. But if you had one or two I don't think it would be as much of an issue.

How it works, the cat goes in the box and does it's thing. Once the cat leaves the box it waits for a period of time then rotates. The sand is separated from the waste and it is dumped into the drawer. The box then rights itself and is ready for the next use.

To see exactly how it works I posted a video  for you:

My cats like it now however, at first all they would do was lay in it. It actually took a while for them to try it out. Once they decided it was a litter box they have been happily using it regularly. We used to smell the old boxes from time to time, depending on the day. The odor would get caught up in our air vents and the scent was sucked through the entire house (not fun). With the Litter Robot, we have not experienced that issue and it has replaced two boxes we had in the basement for the cats. I have not noticed as much litter trickling out on the floor either.
My big plus is that it is self cleaning, my worry is that if the drawer gets too full then the track may get messy and that would be no good. Also inside the box where the litter is strained through can also get messy . It is an area I watch pretty carefully because if a cat goes in and it is messy I am thinking they will get messy too!I have not experienced any of it yet, but it is a concern. Overall I do give it two thumbs up. I had a previous self cleaning cat box that didn't do this great of a job and it broke pretty quickly.
When my contact at Litter Robot read my review she was really pleased but wanted me to add some information in regards to my concerns:
Obviously the more cats using one Litter-Robot means that the bag in the waste drawer would need to be changed more often. This would need to be monitored initially; however, after the cats are using the Litter-Robot on a regular basis, the customer will be able to get a good idea of timing.

The Litter-Robot has a litter sifting system, which requires a clumping type litter to work properly. The plus side of this is that the waste is coated in litter prior to being deposited into the bag in the waste drawer. As you can imagine this helps in the event a cat does not cover the waste. Clumping clay litter is recommended and this type of litter will have the words “clumping” or “scoopable” on the bag or container. It will also work with either crystals or litter pearls.
I am excited to say that Litter Robot is allowing me to give one of their boxes away to enter please follow this link to  The Great Catsby Giveaway Event so you can enter to win! The Litter Robot has a Retail Value of  $359.99 and comes in black, beigh and gray.
