Just Eyewear Review and Giveaway

Just Eyewear Affordable Glasses
I received an offer to review a pair of glasses from Just Eyewear and it was time to get my new glasses anyway so  happily accepted. I went to my Optometrist and got my new prescription then sat down to look at all the glasses I had been promised they had.

Here was the claim: We sell prescription glasses. We have over 900 different styles to choose from, including big plastic frames, flex titanium, progressive lenses, Transitions, you name it. Top notch quality, made here in the United States. If you don't wear glasses but would like a pair with clear lenses, we can do that too. Check us out here: http://www.justeyewear.com
You will be able to choose any pair in our catalog up to $50 (that covers almost all of our frames).

So I was expecting a lot of frames, they did have frames ranging from $19.00 to $38.00 that fell into this requirement, but unlike the claim that most of the frames fell into this range there were not very many and remember you get what you pay for. I also ran into problems because I am 50 and now need bifocals. They do not offer this service at all, at least not for the reviews. So I decided I am a tree and I can bend, I wanted sunglasses also and I picked a cute pair that were $38.00, I learned that I had to have not only my prescription but also the measurement of my Pupil distance and I was able to get that from my optometrist who was happy to give it to me for no charge because I got my bifocals from them. So I picked my glasses, clicked the box that said I needed them to see far and plugged the required numbers in (which was super easy). Then came the options and man do they have expensive ones, I could get the Polar package for $49.00 more, Transitions for $79.00 more or basic for free (no uv protection, only the tint and anti scratch). So I decided to go with the $49.00 upgrade. I applied their  code and paid my $37.00. I was pretty excited because this was still affordable. Then I get the bad email... they were sorry they did not carry that line anymore and I would have to re-choose...I went back and most of the cheaper glasses were gone and what was left I would not put on my dogs.  So I wrote them and told them I wanted a refund of the $37.00, I was pretty surprised that the money was refunded as quickly as it was, I got a note that it would take up to 10 days but it only took 3. I went ahead and re ordered but had to choose a more expensive pair starting out at $58.00. I admit along with the inflated prices my attitude inflated also, to review a pair for free was not going to cost me $58.00! Thank you very much, especially since at that time they still had my $37.00 and I had just paid for glasses with transition UV and anti-scratch coating from my optometrist. So I opted for the bad juju free option.
I was not expecting much because basically I felt that it was a bad experience. I think that UV should be standard and as with my eye doctor and I should not have to pay $49.00 to have something so important. Then the glasses arrived and I have to say they came pretty quickly.

I opened the box expecting rubberbands connected to plastic discs. However, this is what I found:
I was pretty impressed with the presentation, they gave me a discount for 10% off another pair, an eyeglass cleaning cloth, a screw driver set to keep the screws nice and tight, a beautiful case to keep them in when I am not using them. And of course my glasses. And I love the glasses. I wish that I did not have to pay for the UV because these beautiful glasses will not protect my eyes the way they are supposed to. Will I personally buy from them again? Probably not because I can get exactly what I need with all the bells and whistles from my eye doctor with the insurance my husband has through his job. However if I did not have the fantastic coverage I have, yeah, I would order from them again.

Overall, if they had not cancelled my original order I would have been a much happier camper and my review would not have been so negative. My glasses fit perfectly and the lens prescription is perfect.
