I asked if I could review this product because I love all things baked...well almost all things baked. I was anxious to get my hands on something from this company because when you go to their site they have all sorts of treats like OATMEAL CRÈME BRULEE and Chocolate bomb cake...ohh myyyy!
I was truly amazed because they even offer dog treats!
They sent me Going Bananas Banana Bread mix.
Okay I am going to admit with all the wonderful things they have to offer when I got Banana Bread I was a tad disappointed. I use my moms recipe so I didn't think I was going to like it. It was easy enough to make, I had to add eggs, bananas and oil (I substituted the oil for applesauce). Do You Bakes Banana Bread mix made 2 loaves of bread hmmm...not too bad there. I also contemplated making them into muffins but left it as loaves yeah I was too lay to get out the pans and liners.
Before I could get a picture taken of this bread one loaf was half gone, it did not survive the cool down period. The kids grabbed the butter and a knife and it was gone in no time. I did get a slice and it was good. They add raisins to their bread which was different for me and this bread has a slight cinnamon taste to it. Very enchanting and you want more. My earlier feelings of dismay were misplaced because this was a really nice treat for us.
Do You Bake uses all natural ingredients so you can feel safe about giving this to your family. My families rating? They can't say their mouths are full, but I give it straight A's.
