Could It work?

I just got this in my email and although I don't think this came from
Warren Buffet nor do I think he would ask people to forward on his message so I took that silly part out. If he wanted to say something he would go on Television and say it. I try to keep my politics off my blog but this looked really
interesting to me. Could it work?

What do you think?

Most of our anger w/the government might deal w/the below. Of all the proposals by any candidate or incumbent, this isn't talked about enough, but if we can get their attention, threaten them w/their jobs, and get newcomers to “serve” rather than “serve themselves”, it may come in our lifetime…

Winds of Change....

This is one idea that really should be passed around.

_*Congressional Reform Act of 2013*_

1. No Tenure / No Pension.

A Congressman/woman collects a salarywhile in office and receivesnopay when they're out of office.

2. Congress (past, present & future) participates in SocialSecurity.

All funds in the Congressional retirement fund move to theSocial Security system immediately. All future funds flow intothe Social Security system, and Congress participates with theAmerican people. It may not be used for any other purpose.

3. Congress can purchase their own retirement plan, just as allAmericans do.

4. Congress will no longer vote themselves a pay raise.Congressional pay will rise by the lower of CPI or 3%.

5. Congress loses their current health care system andparticipates in the same health care system as the American people.

6. Congress must equally abide by all laws they impose on theAmerican people.

7. All contracts with past and present Congressmen/women are voideffective 1/1/13 . The American people did not make thiscontract withCongressmen/women.

Congressmen/women made all these contracts for themselves. Serving inCongress is an honor, not a career. The Founding Fathersenvisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve theirterm(s), then go home and back to work.
 Don't you think it's time?
