Five Year Old Baby Elephant Gets New Leg!
In 2007 this elephant Chhouk was found in an animal trap in Cambodia, it's leg badly mangled. Rescurer Nick Marx spent a week by his side nursing him , expecting him to die. But the baby elephant made it, they designed a new leg out of Plastic Resin. Chhouk knows the routine and comes in daily to get his leg cleaned and refitted, so far he has gone through 4 of these legs but they are working perfectly. Sea World and Bush Gardens help maintain the baby and the refuge he lives on. Chhouk will never be able to return to the wild.
