I read a fun fact today... Carrots used to be red, white and purple but the 16th century Dutch developed an orange carrot. I can't remember why I think it was in honor of the Duke of Orange.
I have never seen a white,purple or red carrot have you? Are they extinct? OH GOOGLE.....!
